i fail

Mon Jun 1, 2009, 5:36 PM
as a writer. i seriously have like twenty projects i'm working on for drawing/writing and none are even close to being done. i fail. x987632478.

i need a break. from life, from people, from meaningless teenager drama, from school, from stress, from bad family situations, from.. everything. i'd love to go on some artistic soul searching journey in some secluded place and just write and draw and meditate.

that's what i'm missing really, meditation and relaxation. i have tests upon tests:: mcas thursday and friday, and finals ALL next week. then a week and a half of school before we get out for summer. then i'm hoping to just go over to the lake/woods about a mile away and hang around there and sketch and write. meditate and think. get myself ready for another year of school. my junior year. it'll be a good year, as long as me and a particular friend are in the same week. i'll cry if we're not.

anyhow, i know no one cares, but ch.1 of TheSeventhKill should be up within the week. i personally think it's interesting, maybe someone else will too?

deviantID

My name is Jessica Lynne, and I'm an aspiring novelist. This deviantART page is dedicated exclusively to my novelling, whereas my other dA love-deception-hurt.deviantart.com is for my other interests, such as drawing, short story writing, etc.

At some point, I hope to become a published novelist rather than an aspiring novelist, which I know will be quite a challenge. My greatest novelling goal is to write a New York Times best-selling novel. <3

feel free to rant all you want. i agree. dont get me wrong i love the concept. but i loved the concept before it got over populated and worn out. now saying hay i like twilight is like saying i know how to ride a bike. eventually everybody does. i dont hate it. but with all of the hype i dont love it either. and honestly i agree, to be able to dream a story like that up is nonsence. really. who does she think shes fooling

I'll be honest, the first time I read Twilight[I was 13] I really liked it. I thought Bella was a brat, but I liked it. Then they got bigger and they started getting compared to Harry Potter and that got me really angry so I started looking at the two critically. Harry Potter has all kinds of minute details that come into play in huge ways later on, but Twilight just had... nothing but appeal to hormonal teenage girls and a few older women who get too little love from real life men. Plus the next three books really went downhill.

oh, and for her other book, the host:: on her site, she says something about getting a cool idea and running with it. uhh.. okay, probably why your writing sucks. edit. plan. do some real work on the books.

I mean, I put my heart into what I write and I really work on the stuff, and she gets a cool idea? and a dream she just ran with?

oh, and thanks for adding me to your deviantWATCH:)

no problem you severely entertain me (thats totally a good thing)

and after reading the twilight series i read the host. i couldnt make it past the first chapter. i just couldnt. and thats NEVER happened to me before. im sorry i just couldnt put up with that. ugh.

people that write on a whim are crazy. its fun and spontanious but atleast put your all into what your writing.

:) lol, I'm glad i entertain you?

I didn't even bother reading the Host because I knew it would be just as frustrating as the Twilight series. D:

writing on a whim it's bad, it's more when the person doesn't seem to have actually done anything more than that. she could at least say she edited the hell out of those books before she sent them off for printing... then again by the quality of her work she has not... so i don't know. crazy woman.
